Right Turbo Housing

Step 01

Fit the locating pin of the Lower Oil Pipe A to the matching alignment hole of the Oil Filter Base and secure these parts together with one (1) MP screw, as shown.

I painted the heads of these Lower Oil Pipe screws with my Metallic Silver Sharpie to help them blend in a little better:

Step 02

Fit the locating pin of the Lower Oil Pipe B to the matching alignment hole of the Oil Filter Base and secure these parts together with one (1) MP screw, as shown:

Step 03

Push the D-shaped pin of the Oil Filter Base Part into this matching hole of the Oil Filter Base, as shown.

As I believed this Oil Filter Base Part is actually the oil pressure sensor, I wanted it to look more accurate and I wanted the brass nut to sit flush against the engine. Therefore, I first painted the sensor end with my Black Sharpie and cut the D-shaped pin off the other end:

Then, to make the remaining pin fit in the Oil Filter Base, I drilled out the hole with my Pin Vise Hand Drill:

This is how my modded Oil Filter Base Part (oil pressure sensor) looks like installed:

Step 04

Retrieve your engine from the previous pack. Fit this Oil Filter Base assembly to the lower right Cylinder Block, as shown:

Secure the Oil Filter Base assembly into place with four (4) MM screws.

This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:

Step 05

Fit the Air Inlet Pipe A to the Air Inlet Pipe B, matching the halves together as shown.

You may notice I painted the ‘bolt heads’ on this Air Inlet Pipe with my Metallic Gold Sharpie to add some additional color:

Secure the two Air Inlet Pipes together with two (2) GP screws.

I also painted the heads of these screws with my Metallic Silver Sharpie to help them blend in a little better:

Push the post of the Air Inlet Pipe Branch into this matching hole of the Air Inlet Pipe assembly:

Step 06

Fit the flanged end of the Air Inlet Pipe assembly to this matching end of the Right Compressor Housing, as shown:

Secure the Air Inlet Pipe assembly into place with two (2) GM screws:

Step 07

Fit this entire Right Turbo assembly to the right side of the engine, aligning the forward locating pin to the Cylinder Head as shown:

Secure the Right Turbo assembly to the engine with five (5) MM screws.

You may notice there is no ‘sixth screw’ as that is where the locating pin is to align the assembly to the engine:

Step 08

Fit the silver angled end of the Right Turbine Water Pipe into the hole on the bottom of the Right Turbine Part B (arrow below), then secure the Right Turbine Water Pipe to the side of the engine with one (1) MM screw.

To make the silver angled end fit a little better into the Right Turbine Part B, I did trim some of the plastic off the end. Also, I believe the description of this part is incorrect as it appears to be the oil drain for the turbo housing:

Press the pin on the other end of the Right Turbine Water Pipe into this hole of the Oil Filter Base, as shown:

Step 09

Fit the Right Exhaust Manifold Cover to the top of the Right Turbine Housing, and secure it into place with two (2) GM screws:

Step 10

Press the Pipe Seal Cap and Pipe Branch Seal Cap onto the forward ends of the Air Inlet Pipes, as shown:

Press the Lower Oil Pipe A Cap and Lower Oil Pipe B Cap onto the forward ends of the Lower Oil Pipes, as shown:

Step 11

Retrieve your Oil Filter from Engine Pack 14 and press it onto the front of the Oil Filter Base, as shown:

Thoughts

This was another full pack of things to build! I think we have now completed the entire right side of the engine.
