Return to the BUILD
“Now you will attach the Oil Pan, Rear Cross Member and Lower Chassis Plate to the Chassis of your model.”
The Oil Pan
Retrieve the Chassis assembly from the previous pack and turn it upside down. Locate these two posts in the center:
Fit the Oil Pan over the posts, aligning the holes as shown:
Make sure the rear of the Oil Pan slots down over this end of the driveshaft:
Secure the Oil Pan with two (2) Type LM screws.
This is the point in my build where I started using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal. It makes a huge difference!
Fit the two posts of the Lower Chassis Plate over the Half Shafts and down into these holes of the Chassis assembly:
While holding the Lower Chassis Plate in place, secure it from the other side with two (2) Type HP screws:
Fit the Rear Cross Member to the underside of the Chassis assembly, as shown:
While holding the Rear Cross Member in place, secure it from the other side with two (2) Type GP screws:
This was a very simple pack which only added a few details to the bottom of the car. You can safely store the Chassis assembly for a bit, as we will not need it again until Pack 38.
