Rear Left Side Panel & Front Seat Belt
Step 01
Slide one end of the Front Seat Belt in and out of the slots of the Left Seat Belt Pin 2 (marked ‘L2’), as shown:
Step 02
Fit the alignment pin of the Left Seat Belt Pin 2 into the smaller of the two posts at this location on the Rear Left Side Panel (also marked ‘L2’), then secure the Left Seat Belt Pin 2 into place with one (1) GP screw as shown:
Step 03
Thread the free end of the Front Seat Belt through this hole of the Rear Left Side Panel, as shown:
Step 04
Slide the Seat Belt Clip over the end of the Front Seat Belt, as shown:
Step 05
Thread the smaller slot of the Left Seat Belt Holder over the end of the Front Seat Belt as shown, taking care not to twist the belt:
Step 06
Thread the free end of the Front Seat Belt through this slot of the Rear Left Side Panel.
The text of the instructions don’t mention it, but the belt needs to pass back through the larger slot of the Left Seat Belt Holder first:
Step 07
Fit the keyed post of the Left Seat Belt Holder into this matching hole of the Rear Left Side Panel, keeping the seat belt taut:
Step 08
While holding the Left Seat Belt Holder in place, turn the panel over and secure it into place with one (1) GP screw:
Step 09
Slide this end of the Front Seat Belt in and out of the slots of the Left Seat Belt Pin 1 (marked ‘L1’), as shown:
In the same way as before, fit the alignment pin of the Left Seat Belt Pin 1 into the smaller of the two posts at this location on the Rear Left Side Panel (also marked ‘L1’), then secure the Left Seat Belt Pin 1 into place with one (1) GP screw as shown:
I took a moment here to remove any slack in the seat belt by adjusting how much each end of it passes through the pins:
Step 10
Retrieve your Interior assembly from the previous pack. Fit the two lower posts of the Rear Left Side Panel into these holes on the left edge of the Interior assembly, while at the same time, aligning the rear tab of the Rear Left Side Panel to the rear shelf mounting point:
While holding the Rear Left Side Panel in place, secure it to the Interior assembly from below with three (3) GP screws:
Once this panel is mounted and I was happy with the slack in the belt, I cut off the excess seat belt material:
Thoughts
Threading the seat belt through the various slots can be tricky, so use a pair of tweezers if you need to. Get ready to do these steps again on the other side of the car in the next pack.
