Build
The Roof Panel
Step 01
Retrieve your Roof Panel Light Cover from the previous pack and fit its two posts through the matching holes of the Roof Panel, as shown:
Secure the cover to the panel with two (2) IP screws:
Step 02
Retrieve your Interior Light assembly from Pack 61:
Fit the LED bulb of the Interior Light assembly into this hole of the Roof Panel:
You will also need to carefully bend the leads of the LED bulb over to be parallel with the Roof Panel, like this:
Push a Wire Clip F (marked ‘F’) over the Interior Light wires and into these holes closest to the LED (also marked ‘F’), as shown:
While guiding the Interior Light wires into this groove of the Roof Panel, push five (5) Wire Clip E (marked ‘E’) into each pair of matching holes (also marked ‘E’) to capture the wires in place:
I took an extra moment here to protect the exposed back of this LED with a small piece of black electrical tape. It will be close to the metal interior of the body and I wanted to avoid any electrical shorts later on:
Step 03
Retrieve your GT-R Body assembly and turn it over. Fit this Roof Panel inside the roof of the Rear Body and secure it with four (4) HM screws.
Make sure you do not trap the plug of your Interior Light under the Roof Panel. This is also your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:
Step 04
Fit Wire Clip H over the Interior Light wires at this location and secure the clip into place with one (1) DM screw, as shown:
Fit a Wire Clip J over the Interior Light wires at both of these locations and secure them into place with (2) DM screws, one for each clip:
Thoughts
I have to say I enjoy how clean the wiring is managed with this build. It is secured nicely and routed cleanly so far. I wish all of my other models were this good about their wiring.
